A year ago today I sat overwhelmed in subway, unable to even eat my food because I was too shocked from how amazing my morning had been.
I woke up at 6am, met Kate at Victoria station and we found the S & M cafe thanks to the maps we had book marked on our sidekicks and her 'spider-sense'.
We waited outside, we waved to Isa from the window. I freaked out about seeing Isa at the window! I was so happy for her. But for myself I was totally gutted.
We went into the cafe to see how close we could get, upstairs was blocked off. We sat and made hot chocolate for almost an hour, Kate spilled hers everywhere.
Turns out the toilet was upstairs, and we could still go there. So we went upstairs, we could hear Good Morning Revival playing, it was amazing. We hid in toilets, we got thrown out of the cafe but the manager.
We went back to our spot outside to wait for Isa, we saw the big silver car pull up. My stomach freaked out. Kate dragged us over the road saying we had to try and meet them, I kept my face down on my sidekick the whole time.
Benji got out of the car and walked around the corner to an alley, we waited for Joel to do the same but he was on the phone, we left him to it.
I pushed Kate into the alley Benji was in, in was dead empty. We had a chat with him it was nice, awkward, scary, all that good stuff.
We went back to the car and Joel got out but he was in a rush, so Kate quickly asked for a picture. She told him who she was from myspace and he remembered her, he got really excited and he engulfed her in a hug lmao. He could barely move his arms up enough to do it from his leather jacket.
Joel went to walk inside, then turned to ask if we were coming up.
We told him no, we hadn't won the kerrang contest.
He told us to follow him and told security we were with him.
I LAUGHED in the face of the manager who threw us out earlier.
People told us to wait just outside by the stairs/toilets while Joel asked them to make room for us. Benji came out to go to the toilet, he had to brush against me facing each other because the hallway was so fucking small. That is when I apparently got pregnant lmfao. "Oh man, it smells good in here...!" *door closes*
I went inside, saw Isa. Hugged Isa. Annoyed everyone.
Saw Joel and Benji play acoustic :-)
At the signing we had to wait last seeing as we hasn't actually won. I told Benji my full name instead of 'Shell' because I knew he wouldn't have a fucking clue how to spell it and I'd get longer talking to him.
idk guys, I know you're all probably sick o this by now. But I had to update about it!
